Trump-Backed World Liberty Financial Names Corey Caplan as Advisor
Trump-backed World Liberty Financial has appointed Corey Caplan, co-founder of Dolomite, as an advisor for their project.
Corey Caplan co-founded Dolomite, a DeFi platform touted as a next-generation money market platform and decentralized exchange. Launched on Arbitrum One in October 2022, Dolomite has expanded to various blockchain ecosystems such as Polygon’s zkEVM, Mantle, and X Layer, offering services including margin trading, lending, and portfolio management.
World Liberty Financial is a forthcoming crypto project championed by Donald Trump’s sons, Eric and Donald Jr. The project also receives support from Donald Trump, who recently promoted World Liberty Financial on X, showcasing a video where he pledges to position the United States as the “crypto capital of the planet.”
Details regarding the project’s services and the Trump family’s involvement are still unclear.
World Liberty Financial has indicated that Caplan’s appointment is just the beginning, hinting at more team member announcements in the upcoming days. In addition, the Trump campaign has actively engaged with the crypto community, including a presence at the Bitcoin 2024 conference in Nashville, launching NFT collections, and accepting crypto donations for the campaign.
