Alchemy Acquires Bware
The web3 development firm Alchemy has acquired the Romanian blockchain infrastructure provider Bware.
Bware’s team of 40 employees will join Alchemy’s product department. This acquisition expands Alchemy’s presence in Europe, and the firm intends to “invest in Bware’s Romanian presence and team,” as noted in a release shared with The Block. The valuation of the deal has not been disclosed.
The acquisition will not impact Alchemy or Bware customers. Furthermore, Alchemy will not take over Bware’s INFRA decentralized network or its token, according to the release.
Bware CEO and cofounder Flavian Manea stated, “As companies, we’ve each tackled the web3 market from different angles: Alchemy has focused on robustness and a broad range of services, while Bware Labs has optimized for cost and latency.”
Previously, Alchemy had acquired Satsuma, a web3 data indexing platform, in September 2023. The firm also partnered with Worldcoin to enhance infrastructure for the upcoming World Chain blockchain, as reported by The Block.
