Biggest News
Fortnite Storyline Pumps Token
The latest season of the immensely popular battle royale Fortnite involves a pickle criminal rapper named Big Dill, who is supposedly on the run after being accused of a crypto rug pull. A fake news anchor claimed he launched a crypto meme coin called Dill Bits.
Crypto enthusiasts had already noticed Dill Bits a couple of weeks ago, as it was introduced as an in-game currency for high-tier loot in Fortnite. A semi-official version was launched via the Solana platform, Pump.fun, leading it to reach a market cap of $4.78 million, though it later dropped to $145,000.
After Fortnite released a social media video about Big Dill’s escapades, the Solana meme coin surged by 4,300% to a market cap of $4.72 million, only to fall back again, echoing the claim from the news anchor that you should not “take financial advice from a pickle.”

Deadrop Users Get Refunds
Frustrated players of the discontinued extraction shooter, Deadrop, have started to request refunds through their banks. Midnight Society, the studio behind the shooter, sold early access passes, including $50 NFTs and multiple non-NFT passes costing between $20 and $30, which players feel didn’t deliver the full experience promised.
Purchasers of the $25 Tower Key reported not receiving the expected “Season 0 battle pass.” Those who bought the later Drivers Keys found the items useless in-game and not tradable as promised. Decrypt confirmed players were successfully obtaining refunds after contacting their banks.
Midnight Society co-founder Quinn DelHoyo mentioned last August that the full game was anticipated for release in fall 2025. However, after the departure of co-founder Dr. Disrespect due to misconduct allegations, the studio faced significant layoffs and ultimately shut down in January, disappointing its dedicated player base.
Sega Franchise on Sui
Parasol, a gaming infrastructure subsidiary of Sui network contributor Mysten Labs, announced that its upcoming trading card game, Code of Joker: Evolutions, will launch on the Sui blockchain.
Originally created for arcades in 2013 by Sega, the Code of Joker franchise is being revived by Jokers Inc, which is now integrating NFTs to allow players ownership of in-game cards via the Sui blockchain. Sega is merely licensing the franchise and has stated it will not release major IPs like Sonic until the experimental phase concludes.
