Patrick O’Grady’s Departure from Ava Labs
Patrick O’Grady, VP of Engineering at Ava Labs, announced on X that he will be leaving to start his own venture.
O’Grady recently worked on the Vryx scaling solution aimed at allowing the Avalanche blockchain to process 100,000 transactions per second, competing with other modern blockchains like Monad, MegaETH, and TON.
Though he did not reveal many details about his new project, he hinted at a focus on providing application developers with robust frameworks that enhance on-chain experiences through superior networking, storage, and consensus solutions.
He emphasized that successful applications today aim for exceptional performance and efficiency to deliver greater value to users, and he believes this will be essential for the future of on-chain applications.
O’Grady, who will stay on as a Technical Advisor to Ava Labs, concluded his announcement by expressing his commitment to contributing to a trustworthy internet, saying, “I’ll see you onchain.”
