Portugal Stock Market Update
Investing.com – Portugal stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology, Utilities, and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI gained 0.45% to hit a new 1-month high.
Best Performers
- Ibersol SGPS (ELI:IBS): rose 3.35% or 0.24 points to trade at 7.40 at the close.
- Semapa (ELI:SEM): added 1.84% or 0.26 points to end at 14.40.
- Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP): was up 1.74% or 0.01 points to 0.41 in late trade.
Worst Performers
- EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR): fell 0.78% or 0.11 points to trade at 14.06.
- Corticeira Amorim (ELI:CORA): declined 0.56% or 0.05 points to end at 8.87.
- EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:EDP): down 0.55% or 0.02 points to 3.78.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 20 to 10, with 5 ending unchanged.
Shares in Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP) rose to 5-year highs, gaining 1.74% or 0.01 to 0.41.
Commodities Update
- Brent oil: down 1.84% or 1.48 to $78.88 per barrel.
- Crude oil: for delivery in October fell 2.12% or 1.64 to hit $75.78 per barrel.
- Gold Futures: December contract fell 0.38% or 9.60 to trade at $2,545.60 a troy ounce.
