Brazil Stocks Rise after Market Close
Investing.com – Brazil stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Consumption, and Real Estate sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa rose 0.06% to hit a new all-time high.
Best Performers
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were:
– Lojas Renner SA (BVMF:LREN3): rose 4.12% or 0.73 points to trade at 18.43 at the close.
– MRV Engenharia e Participacoes SA (BVMF:MRVE3): added 4.00% or 0.30 points to end at 7.80.
– Vale SA (BVMF:VALE3): up 3.45% or 2.00 points to 60.05 in late trade.
Worst Performers
The worst performers of the session were:
– Sao Martinho SA (BVMF:SMTO3): fell 3.29% or 1.00 points to trade at 29.40.
– Hypera SA (BVMF:HYPE3): declined 2.76% or 0.85 points to end at 29.90.
– Dexco SA (BVMF:DXCO3): down 2.75% or 0.23 points to 8.14.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 475 to 443 and 74 ended unchanged.

Volatility and Commodities
The CBOE Brazil ETF Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 0.19% to 26.19.
Commodities
- Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.20% or 5.20 to $2,560.40 a troy ounce.
- Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.16% or 1.67 to hit $75.75 a barrel.
- The December US coffee C contract rose 2.42% or 6.05 to trade at $255.70.
Currency Exchange
- USD/BRL was up 0.37% to 5.52.
- EUR/BRL rose 0.40% to 6.15.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.28% at 100.46.
