Brian Strugats Leaves FalconX
Brian Strugats, head of trading at the cryptocurrency prime broker FalconX, has left the firm, according to an internal memo seen by CoinDesk.
Strugats departed last week, as noted in the memo. He had been with the crypto firm for over three years and was based in New York, as his LinkedIn profile indicates.
Both Strugats and FalconX declined to comment on his departure.
Prime brokers are a crucial component of financial markets, both in cryptocurrency and traditional finance (TradFi). They provide trading, financing, and custody services to large institutions.
Before joining FalconX, Strugats worked at investment firms XN and Glenhill Capital. He began his career as a fund accountant at GlobeOp.
FalconX was founded in 2018 and was valued at $8 billion during a mid-2022 funding round. It positions itself as the largest digital assets prime brokerage for institutions.
