HashKey Global Integrates Ethereum Support on Base

HashKey Global, a flagship digital asset exchange under HashKey Group, has just integrated Ethereum support on Base, significantly reducing the costs of transferring funds to and from the exchange.

Ethereum Integration Details

HashKey Global has officially integrated Ethereum (ETH) on the Base network, with deposit and withdrawal services now live. The platform supports ETH transactions across three networks: ERC-20, Base (BASE), and Arbitrum (ARB). This integration makes it easier and more cost-effective for users to move funds in and out of the exchange while engaging with the Ethereum blockchain ecosystem.

The Shift to Layer 2 Solutions

This move aligns with the growing adoption of Ethereum’s Layer 2 solutions by exchanges aimed at alleviating the congestion and high fees characteristic of Ethereum’s mainnet. Other exchanges like Binance, OKX, and KuCoin have quickly integrated Layer 2 networks to enhance Ethereum transactions.

  • Binance began supporting Arbitrum and Optimism (OP) in 2021 to mitigate high gas fees and has since expanded its support to additional Layer 2 solutions.
  • OKX integrated Arbitrum in 2021 to provide users with better transaction experiences.
  • KuCoin also added Arbitrum support in 2021, further extending its offerings to other Layer 2 networks.

Recent Achievements of HashKey Group

This announcement follows HashKey Group’s recent achievement of securing In-Principle Approval from Dubai VARA for a Virtual Asset Service Provider license, thereby expanding its regulated services in the Middle East. Earlier, HashKey Europe Limited, a subsidiary of HashKey Group, received VASP registration approval from the Central Bank of Ireland. The platform has also recently launched its own token, HashKey Platform Token, which reached an all-time high of $2.59 on December 20, 2024.
