An unknown Shiba Inu (SHIB) whale deposited nearly 174.6 billion SHIB, worth approximately $2.53 million, into Coinbase just 10 hours ago, as revealed by Arkham Intelligence.

The address, “0x45492,” raised questions about the reason behind this sudden move, which remains unclear. Notably, this vast accumulation occurred within the past two weeks, potentially involving transactions from Coinbase itself. However, no evidence confirms the wallet’s association with the exchange.

Adding to the mystery, the wallet had no prior transaction history, indicating that 175 billion SHIB was withdrawn from Coinbase, held briefly, and then redeposited, resulting in a loss of around $100,000.

In light of recent fluctuations in the crypto market, if this wallet isn’t linked to Coinbase, it could signal efforts to mitigate losses from a poorly timed investment. The recent market recovery might have offered a strategic exit.
