ONBTC noted that the meeting targeted technology investments and opportunities in artificial intelligence development.

Key discussion points included:
– Investment prospects in El Salvador as an emerging tech hub.
– Emphasis on freedom technologies and the AI landscape following DeepSeek developments.
– Open-source and proprietary AI models.

El Salvador has aimed to attract tech investments through recent policy changes, including a 0% tax rate for the technology industry and a regulatory framework for the AI sector.

The discussions also highlighted decreasing barriers to entry in technology markets, the importance of education for technological progress, and the evolving AI environment.

El Salvador aspires to be a leading destination for innovators and investors, backed by economic policies designed to attract technology firms.

Last month, President Bukele met with Michael Saylor to refine Bitcoin policies as part of the country’s IMF agreement. Despite changes, Bitcoin adoption remains stable.

El Salvador has intensified its Bitcoin strategy, purchasing one Bitcoin daily, holding over 6,000 BTC valued at approximately $519 million, according to Arkham Intelligence.
