Finland Stock Market Update
Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Basic Materials, and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.34% to hit a new 3-months high.
Best Performers
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were:
– Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:TYRES): up 1.75% or 0.15 points to trade at 8.72.
– UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM): added 1.31% or 0.40 points to end at 30.98.
– Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO): up 1.26% or 0.51 points to 40.92 in late trade.
Worst Performers
The worst performers of the session were:
– Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE): fell 1.18% or 0.25 points to trade at 20.90.
– Valmet Oyj (HE:VALMT): declined 0.58% or 0.15 points to end at 25.75.
– Kemira Oyj (HE:KEMIRA): down 0.45% or 0.10 points to 22.08.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 95 to 77, with 17 ending unchanged.
Commodities Update
Brent oil for November delivery was up 0.73% or 0.56 to $77.49 a barrel.
Elsewhere in commodities trading:
– Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.03% or 0.76 to hit $74.31 a barrel.
– December Gold Futures contract rose 0.25% or 6.20 to trade at $2,533.80 a troy ounce.
Currency Update
- EUR/USD was unchanged 0.18% to 1.11.
- EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.84.
- The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 101.61.
