Changpeng Zhao Clarifies Crypto Holdings

Changpeng Zhao, the former CEO of cryptocurrency exchange Binance, has clarified that he did not sell any crypto during the recent market crash that occurred earlier this Tuesday.

On that day, Bitcoin, the leading cryptocurrency, plunged to $86,141, marking its lowest level since November. It has since reduced its losses and is currently trading at $94,519. Nonetheless, Bitcoin remains 19.2% away from reclaiming its all-time high of $108,786, putting it near bear market territory.

According to U.Today, CZ, who continues to be a significant figure in the crypto community despite stepping down as CEO in late 2023, recently affirmed he is not interested in acquiring new cryptocurrencies, including popular memecoins.

Zhao’s crypto portfolio is primarily composed of the BNB token, while Bitcoin constitutes just a small fraction of his assets.

He also recalled a notable tweet from 2020 that accurately predicted future headlines from 2025 concerning Bitcoin’s price dropping from $101,000 to $85,000.

Zhao is now speculating that Bitcoin will ultimately crash from $1 million:

> Waiting for the new headline: #Bitcoin “CRASHES” from $1,001,000 to $985,000.
