Berachain Token Price Surge
Berachain token price continued to rise this week as the market reacted positively to its expanding decentralized finance ecosystem.
Price and Market Capitalization
On Wednesday, Berachain (BERA) reached $6.60, reflecting a 31% increase from its lowest point following the airdrop earlier this week. Its market capitalization has now risen to $717 million, making it the 92nd-largest cryptocurrency. The fully diluted valuation also increased to $3.29 billion.
Ecosystem Growth
The Berachain ecosystem has witnessed substantial growth, with the total value locked (TVL) in its decentralized finance sector surpassing $3 billion. A key highlight is the surge in stablecoin market capitalization on its network, which has now reached $930 million, highlighting the role stablecoins play in connecting crypto with traditional finance.
Leading Networks
Infrared Finance stands out as the largest liquid staking network within the Berachain ecosystem, managing over $1.29 billion in assets, followed by Kodiak, a decentralized exchange with $1.15 billion in assets. Other notable platforms include Concrete, Dolomite, BEX, and Beraborrow.
Trading Activity
Decentralized exchanges on Berachain are experiencing a notable uptick in trading activity, with a 60% increase in weekly volume, now at $375 million.
Competitive Edge
These performance metrics place Berachain ahead of several higher-valued projects. For instance, Cardano (ADA), with a market cap exceeding $25 billion, only holds a decentralized finance TVL of $382 million and a weekly DEX volume of $32 million. Berachain’s metrics also exceed those of notable networks such as Sui, Avalanche, Aptos, and Cronos.
Investor Concerns
Despite the positive outlook, investors are cautious about potential future dilution. Currently, Berachain has a circulating supply of 107.48 million BERA tokens from a total supply of 500 million. The next token unlock is slated for May, releasing 10 million BERA tokens into circulation. Additionally, 196.5 million tokens are expected to unlock in 2026, valued at over $1.3 billion, which poses a high dilution risk as it increases the total circulating supply.
