Mexico Stock Market Overview
Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Industrials, Consumer Goods & Services, and Consumer Staples sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC lost 0.29%.
Best Performers
The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were:
– Controladora Vuela Compania de Aviacion SAB de CV (BMV:VOLARA): rose 4.65% or 0.52 points to trade at 11.70 at the close.

– Arca Continental, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:AC): up 1.88% or 3.32 points to 179.76 in late trade.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 118 to 112 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in Banco Del Bajio SA Institution De Banca Multiple (BMV:BBAJIOO) fell to 52-week lows, decreasing 3.19% or 1.53 to 46.45.
Commodities Trading
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.84% or 21.20 to $2,547.20 a troy ounce. In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery rose 0.17% or 0.12 to hit $69.32 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.05% or 0.04 to trade at $72.89 a barrel.
Currency Exchange Rates
- USD/MXN was up 0.12% to 19.88.
- EUR/MXN rose 0.10% to 22.09.
US Dollar Index
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 101.03.
