Tether Invests in Juventus Football Club
Tether, the company behind the largest stablecoin USDT, has acquired a minority stake in the renowned Italian football team, Juventus Football Club (Juve).
This investment aligns with Tether’s goal of integrating digital assets and stablecoins into everyday life, as stated in a recent company release.
Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino remarked, “Aligned with our strategic investment in Juve, Tether will be a pioneer in merging new technologies, such as digital assets, AI, and biotech, with the well-established sports industry to drive change globally.” He added that the partnership will explore innovative collaborations and the potential to revolutionize the global sports landscape.
Juventus Football Club, known as Juve, is associated with notable partnerships, including the sportswear giant Adidas, insurance firm Allianz, and the European crypto investment platform, Zonda Crypto.
Tether boasts over half of the market supply of USD-pegged Ethereum stablecoins and reported $13 billion in net profits in 2024, as previously reported by The Block.
