Doodles Launches DOOD Token
The NFT brand Doodles is set to launch its own Solana-based token named DOOD.
Token Allocation
Out of the 10 billion total token supply:
– 30% will be allocated to the Doodles community
– 25% will go to its ecosystem fund
– 17% will be given to the team
– 13% is intended for “new blood”
– 10% will be set aside for liquidity
– 5% will go to the company itself.
These details were shared in a social media post on Thursday. Additionally, the Doodles team has plans to bridge the token to Coinbase-incubated Layer 2, Base.
Latest Trend in NFTs
Doodles follows Pudgy Penguins as the latest NFT brand to announce a token airdrop. In December 2024, Pudgy Penguins launched its token PENGU, which has a total supply of 88,888,888,888 on the Solana network.
Doodles Expansion
Originally starting as an NFT project featuring 10,000 collectible artworks, Doodles has rapidly expanded into animation, music, and even formed a partnership with fast-food giant McDonald’s. According to The Block’s Data Dashboard, Doodles garnered $2.46 million in trading volume between February 2 and February 9.
