Hamster Kombat Schedules First Airdrop
After a delay, the popular Telegram-based crypto game, Hamster Kombat, announced its first airdrop scheduled for next month.
In a recent post on its Telegram channel, which boasts over 52 million subscribers, the Hamster Kombat team stated that the token generation event (TGE) will occur on Sept. 26. According to their whitepaper, 60% of the token airdrop will be allocated to players.
The remaining tokens are reserved for:
– Market liquidity
– Ecosystem partnerships and grants
– Rewarding squads
– Other initiatives
Originally, the airdrop was slated for July but faced delays due to technical challenges that the team described as making it “impossible to predict” the timing. A significant issue was the anticipated influx of users eager to participate in the TGE. By July, Hamster Kombat had 50 million daily active users across 190 countries, although the number of bot users remains unclear.
The success of the Telegram-based clicker game, Notcoin, brought attention to Hamster Kombat and similar games, like Yescoin. Notcoin previously airdropped more than 80 billion NOT tokens, valued at about $1 billion. Inspired by this success, Hamster Kombat’s founders expressed intentions for a second airdrop in the future.
