The funds are being raised through a private sale of “unsecured convertible debenture units” to ParaFi Capital. The convertible debenture units comprise one debenture with a principal amount of C$1,000 and 400 warrants, which can be converted into shares at a C$2.50 strike price before the fifth anniversary of the financing’s closing, anticipated to be January 16.

Additionally, the CDs offer a yield of 2.5% per annum, payable semi-annually in cash or common shares.

Strategic Goals
This fundraising effort is part of Sol Strategies’ broader strategy to enhance its investments in the Solana ecosystem. The company has staked over 1.5 million SOL tokens, approximately C$450 million, making it one of the largest stakers. The firm views its investment approach as a means for shareholders to participate indirectly in decentralized finance.

Previous Investments
Earlier this week, Sol Strategies also announced a C$25 million credit line aimed at financing its staking expansion. CEO Leah Wald has indicated interest in listing the firm on the Nasdaq as part of its growth strategy.
