Gemini Expands Leadership for European Growth in 2025

Crypto exchange Gemini has onboarded three senior leaders to bolster its European expansion strategy for 2025.

New Appointments

• Mark Jennings: Head of Europe. Previously COO of Kraken’s European Operations and CEO of Kraken Multilateral Trading Facility (MTF).
• Daniel Slutzkin: Head of UK. Formerly country manager at UK broker Stake.
• Vijay Selvam: International-focused General Counsel. Joined Gemini in June as counsel for the Asia Pacific region.

Jennings emphasized that this transformative phase demonstrates Gemini’s commitment to Europe, citing new regulatory frameworks like MiCA and the FCA’s roadmap as catalysts for growth in digital assets.

Recent Developments

In October 2024, Gemini appointed Claudio Bedino as head of consumer growth for Europe ahead of the implementation of the MiCA regulatory framework in late December. The UK’s FCA plans to roll out digital asset regulations in 2026.

Founded in 2014 by Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, Gemini acquired a virtual asset service provider license in France in November, allowing operations across the EU trading bloc. The company reported a total trading volume of $6.32 billion in December and operates in over 70 countries.
