Anon World Unveiled by Kartik Patel

Blockchain developer Kartik Patel has introduced Anon World, a social platform based on Farcaster that emphasizes anonymous interactions.

Built on the Farcaster protocol, Anon World expands upon Patel’s earlier project, Anoncast, by featuring a Reddit-like interface that promotes community-driven discussions while maintaining user anonymity.

Central to its architecture is the mandatory use of ZK-based credentials stored locally in the user’s browser, ensuring that no metadata or wallet information is collected.

Users are required to hold specific ERC20 tokens to post on the platform. Currently, support is limited to ERC20 tokens on the Base network, but Patel plans to extend support to additional blockchain networks and credential types soon.
> “We currently only support adding ERC20 credentials on Base, with more chains and types of credentials being added very soon,” Patel stated.

Anon World features functionality akin to subreddits, where groups of users with shared credentials can engage with one another. These communities are supported by a token, a shared Farcaster account, and a shared wallet.

Users can store their credentials in a local wallet or connect them to a passkey-based profile. This latter option allows for consistent identity across devices, as users can link posts through shared credentials.

Patel had previously launched AnonCast, a decentralized social media application based on the Farcaster protocol. This application allows users to post anonymously to Farcaster and share their posts on other platforms like X. To post, users must demonstrate ownership of the ANON token without exposing personal information, utilizing zero-knowledge proofs to guarantee complete user anonymity.
