Singapore Post Appoints New Finance Chief
(Reuters) – Singapore Post has announced the appointment of Isaac Mah, the current CFO of its Australia business, as the group's finance chief. This decision comes a week after the termination of three senior executives, including the previous CFO, over improper management of a whistleblower report.
Isaac Mah, who joined Singapore Post in 2019, recently supervised the sale of the Australian business to private equity firm Pacific Equity Partners.
The ousted group CFO, Vincent Yik, along with CEO Vincent Phang and head of the international business unit (IBU), Li Yu, were found to be "negligent" in addressing a whistleblower report.
The allegations from the whistleblower involved misconduct by several employees in the company's international e-commerce logistics parcels sector.
Additionally, Singapore Post announced that Gan Heng would take on the role of acting CEO for the international business unit, having been the head of its South district.
The Temasek-backed company indicated that a new group CEO would be appointed "in due course."
