Brazil Stock Market Update
Investing.com – Brazil stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, with gains in the Financials, Basic Materials, and Electric Power sectors leading shares upward.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa rose 0.26%.

- Brava Energia SA (BVMF:BRAV3): up 6.64% or 1.27 points to end at 20.40.
- Companhia Brasileira De Distribuica (BVMF:PCAR3): up 5.35% or 0.13 points to 2.56.
Worst Performers
- Cvc Brasil ON (BVMF:CVCB3): down 7.74% or 0.12 points to trade at 1.43.
- Magazine Luiza SA (BVMF:MGLU3): down 6.45% or 0.45 points to end at 6.53.
- Minerva SA/Brazil (BVMF:BEEF3): down 4.04% or 0.22 points to 5.22.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 618 to 346, with 46 ending unchanged.

- Cvc Brasil ON (BVMF:CVCB3) fell to all-time lows, dropping 7.74% or 0.12 to 1.43.
- Minerva SA/Brazil (BVMF:BEEF3) fell to 5-year lows, down 4.04% or 0.22 to 5.22.
The CBOE Brazil ETF Volatility, which measures implied volatility of Bovespa options, decreased by 1.33% to 34.12.
Commodity Prices
- Gold Futures for February delivery rose 0.71% or 18.61 to $2,654.11 a troy ounce.
- Crude oil for February delivery fell 0.70% or 0.49 to hit $69.61 a barrel.
- The March US coffee C contract fell 1.84% or 6.05 to trade at $322.55.
Currency Movements
- USD/BRL was down 0.13% to 6.18.
- EUR/BRL fell 8.24% to 6.42.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.13% at 107.88.
