Japan Stock Market Update
Investing.com – Japan stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, led by gains in the Shipbuilding, Automobiles & Parts, and Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic sectors.
At the close in Tokyo, the Nikkei 225 rose 1.39%.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tokyo Stock Exchange by 2436 to 1226, with 237 unchanged.
Shares in J.Front Retailing Co., Ltd. (TYO:3086) rose to 5-year highs, while shares in Eisai Co., Ltd. (TYO:4523) fell to 5-year lows.
The Nikkei Volatility, measuring the implied volatility of Nikkei 225 options, was down 16.16% to 18.31, a new 3-month low.
