Turkey Stock Market Update
Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, led by gains in the Banking, Wholesale & Retail Trade, and Financials sectors.

At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 2.52%.
Best Performers
The top performers of the session on the BIST 100 were:
– Yapi ve Kredi Bankasi AS (IS:YKBNK): +8.37% (up 2.38 points to 30.80)
– Akbank TAS (IS:AKBNK): +7.97% (up 4.80 points to 65.05)
– Turkiye Garanti Bankasi (IS:GARAN): +5.38% (up 6.80 points to 133.30)
Worst Performers
The worst performers were:
– Katilimevim Tasarruf Finansman AS (IS:KTLEV): -4.95% (down 2.75 points to 52.75)
– Papilon Savunma Guvenlik Sistemleri (IS:PAPIL): -2.21% (down 0.29 points to 12.82)
– Oyak Cimento Fabrikalari AS (IS:OYAKC): -2.17% (down 0.52 points to 23.40)
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 437 to 123, with 22 remaining unchanged.
Shares in Turkiye Garanti Bankasi (IS:GARAN) reached all-time highs, gaining 5.38% or 6.80 points to 133.30.
Commodity Prices
- Gold Futures (February delivery) remained unchanged at $2,633.50 a troy ounce.
- Crude Oil (February delivery) fell 0.09% to $70.10 a barrel.
- Brent Oil (March contract) rose 1.24% to $73.22 a barrel.
Currency Exchange
- USD/TRY rose 1.18% to 35.20
- EUR/TRY rose 1.33% to 36.65
- US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 108.00.
