Investing.com – Germany stocks were mixed after the close on Monday, as gains in the Food & Beverages, Utilities, and Technology sectors led shares higher, while losses in the Construction, Financial Services, and Consumer & Cyclical sectors led shares lower.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 319 to 318, with 44 ending unchanged.

The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, decreased 3.85% to 15.84.

Commodities and Currency Update

• Gold Futures for February delivery fell 0.49% to $2,632.26 per troy ounce.
• Crude oil for February delivery fell 0.95% to $68.80 a barrel.
• Brent oil for March delivery fell 0.96% to $71.86 a barrel.

EUR/USD remained unchanged at 1.04, while EUR/GBP was unchanged at 0.83. The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.42% at 107.81.
