NVIDIA Corporation Plans New Headquarters in Taiwan

Investing.com– NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA) plans to build a new headquarters in Taiwan, as reported by local news outlet Commercial Times citing a government official.

The chipmaking giant is prioritizing Taipei as its regional headquarters location and is seeking approximately three hectares of land for the project. The local city government is assisting Nvidia with this initiative.

Taiwan plays a crucial role in Nvidia’s supply chain, largely dependent on contract chipmaker TSMC (NYSE:TSM), the country's largest firm, for producing its advanced artificial intelligence chips. Additionally, Nvidia collaborates with electronics giant Foxconn (SS:601138), known formally as Hon Hai Precision Industry Co Ltd (TW:2317).

Earlier this year, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang stated that the firm aims to enhance its presence in Taiwan by establishing a research and development hub and hiring over 1,000 people in the coming years.
