Denmark stocks lower at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 down 13.21%

Denmark Stocks Close Lower

Investing.com – Denmark stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Healthcare, Oil & Gas, and Financials sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 fell 13.21% to hit a new 52-week low.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were:
Demant A/S (CSE:DEMANT): rose 1.78% or 4.60 points to trade at 263.40.
Pandora A/S (CSE:PNDORA): added 0.87% or 11.00 points to end at 1,274.50.
Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb): up 0.86% or 6.80 points to 797.20.

Worst Performers

The worst performers included:
Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb): fell 20.72% or 154.00 points to trade at 589.20.
Zealand Pharma A/S (CSE:ZELA): declined 3.77% or 28.50 points to end at 728.00.
Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE): down 2.56% or 5.20 points to 195.90.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 89 to 48, with 17 ending unchanged.

Shares in Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) fell to 52-week lows, losing 20.72% or 154.00 to 589.20.

Commodities

Crude oil for January delivery was down 1.84% or 1.30 to $69.28 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading:
– Brent oil for February delivery fell 0.19% or 0.14 to hit $72.74 a barrel.
– February Gold Futures contract rose 1.35% or 35.24 to trade at $2,643.34 a troy ounce.

Currency Exchange Rates

  • USD/DKK was down 0.53% to 7.16.
  • EUR/DKK remained unchanged at 7.46.
  • The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.52% at 107.58.
