Spain Stock Market Update
Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Telecoms & IT, Consumer Services, and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 rose 0.37%.
Best Performers
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were:
– Inmobiliaria Colonial SA (BME:COL), which rose 2.91% or 0.15 points to trade at 5.14.
– Merlin Properties SA (BME:MRL) added 2.26% or 0.22 points to end at 9.98.
– Cellnex Telecom SA (BME:CLNX) was up 2.09% or 0.62 points to 30.26 in late trade.
Worst Performers
The worst performers of the session were:
– Bankinter (BME:BKT), which fell 1.84% or 0.14 points to trade at 7.37.
– SOLARIA ENERGIA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE (BME:SLRS) declined 1.83% or 0.15 points to end at 8.03.
– Grifols SA (BME:GRLS) was down 1.81% or 0.17 points to 9.33.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 99 to 95, with 27 ending unchanged.
Shares in SOLARIA ENERGIA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE (BME:SLRS) fell to 3-year lows, dropping 1.83% or 0.15 to 8.03.
Commodity Prices
- Gold Futures for February delivery rose 1.45% or 37.74 to $2,645.84 a troy ounce.
- Crude oil for January delivery fell 1.69% or 1.19 to hit $69.39 a barrel.
- The February Brent oil contract fell 0.07% or 0.05 to trade at $72.83 a barrel.
Currency Exchange Rates
- EUR/USD was up 0.71% to 1.04.
- EUR/GBP remained unchanged at 0.83.
- The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.70% at 107.39.
