Poland Stock Market Update
Poland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, with gains in the Energy, Food, and Developers sectors.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 gained 0.08%.
Best Performers
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were:
– Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA:TPE): up 7.72% (0.27 points) to 3.78.
– Enea SA (WA:ENAE): up 7.11% (0.85 points) to 12.80.
– CD PROJEKT SA (WA:CDR): up 3.10% (5.70 points) to 189.30.
Worst Performers
The worst performers included:
– Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP): down 3.07% (0.59 points) to 18.61.
– Eurocash SA (WA:EUR): down 2.04% (0.15 points) to 7.19.
– Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN SA (WA:PKN): down 1.86% (0.92 points) to 48.29.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 331 to 195, while 108 ended unchanged.
Shares in Enea SA reached 5-year highs, while Eurocash fell to 5-year lows and Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN hit 3-year lows.
Commodity Prices
Crude oil for January delivery fell 1.70% (1.21) to $70.08 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for February delivery dropped 1.03% (0.77) to $73.72 a barrel. February Gold Futures also decreased by 0.23% (6.21) to trade at $2,669.59 per troy ounce.
Currency Exchange
- EUR/PLN was down 0.12% to 4.26.
- USD/PLN was unchanged at 4.05.
- The US Dollar Index Futures dropped 0.07% to 106.61.
