Warner Bros Discovery and Comcast Sign Distribution Deal
By Dawn Chmielewski
(Reuters) – Warner Bros Discovery (NASDAQ:WBD) has signed a multi-year deal with Comcast (NASDAQ:CMCSA) to distribute its content to Xfinity and Sky UK and Ireland customers using Comcast's linear television, apps, and streaming services, the companies announced on Monday.
In this renewal, Warner Bros Discovery's portfolio, which includes TNT, CNN, and Food Network, will be available to subscribers of Comcast's Xfinity service in the U.S. and Sky in the U.K.
The agreement also provides Comcast with more flexibility in packaging the ad-supported versions of the Max and Discovery+ streaming services. Furthermore, the deal enhances collaboration between Warner Bros Discovery and Sky UK, allowing Sky Atlantic to distribute the ad-supported version of the Max streaming app when it launches in the U.K. and Ireland in early 2026.
(This story has been corrected to fix the date when Max will be available in the U.K. in paragraph 3)
