Morocco stocks lower at close of trade; Moroccan All Shares down 0.80%

Morocco Stock Market Update

Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Friday, with losses in the Banking, Utilities, and Oil & Gas sectors pushing shares down.

At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.80%.

Best Performers

  • IB Maroc Com SA (CSE:IBC): rose 6.03% or 1.99 points to trade at 34.99.
  • Fenie Brossette (CSE:FBR): added 4.99% or 5.25 points to end at 110.45.
  • Nationale d’Electrolyse et de Petrochimie Ste SA (CSE:SNP): up 3.59% or 20.10 points to 580.10.

Worst Performers

  • Attijariwafa Bank (CSE:ATW): fell 4.17% or 25.00 points to trade at 575.00.
  • Colorado (CSE:COL): declined 2.86% or 1.51 points to end at 51.21.
  • Marocaine pour le Commerce et l’Industrie Banque SA (CSE:BCI): down 2.55% or 15.00 points to 555.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange with a ratio of 32 to 22, and 4 ended unchanged.

Commodity Prices

  • Crude oil for January delivery: down 1.77% or 1.21 to $67.09 a barrel.
  • Brent oil for February: fell 1.65% or 1.19 to hit $70.90 a barrel.
  • February Gold Futures: rose 0.39% or 10.21 to trade at $2,658.61 a troy ounce.

Currency Exchange Rates

  • EUR/MAD was up 0.62% to 10.53.
  • USD/MAD unchanged at 9.95.
  • The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 105.98.
