Investing.com – France stocks were mixed after the close on Monday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Basic Materials and Software sectors led shares higher while losses in the Oil & Gas, Financials and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 rose 0.02%, while the SBF 120 index declined 0.13%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Hermes International SCA (EPA:HRMS), which rose 4.75% or 98.00 points to trade at 2,163.00 at the close. Meanwhile, LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE (EPA:LVMH) added 3.25% or 19.10 points to end at 606.10 and Airbus Group SE (EPA:AIR) was up 2.01% or 2.96 points to 150.52 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Stellantis NV (EPA:STLAM), which fell 6.37% or 0.80 points to trade at 11.73 at the close. Carrefour SA (EPA:CARR) declined 4.79% or 0.69 points to end at 13.71 and Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield SE (EPA:URW) was down 2.91% or 2.26 points to 75.30.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Worldline SA (EPA:WLN) which rose 14.04% to 7.59, Hermes International SCA (EPA:HRMS) which was up 4.75% to settle at 2,163.00 and LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE (EPA:LVMH) which gained 3.25% to close at 606.10.
The worst performers were Atos SE (EPA:ATOS) which was down 18.08% to 0.74 in late trade, Solutions 30 SE (EPA:S30) which lost 7.23% to settle at 0.80 and Ubisoft Entertainment (EPA:UBIP) which was down 7.07% to 11.58 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 388 to 125 and 73 ended unchanged.
Shares in Stellantis NV (EPA:STLAM) fell to 52-week lows; down 6.37% or 0.80 to 11.73. Shares in Solutions 30 SE (EPA:S30) fell to 5-year lows; down 7.23% or 0.06 to 0.80.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.73% or 19.51 to $2,661.49 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.34% or 0.23 to hit $67.77 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 0.38% or 0.27 to trade at $71.57 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.88% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.63% at 106.50.
