Investing.com – Spain stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Consumer Services and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 fell 0.72%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were ACS Actividades de Construccion y Servicios SA (BME:ACS), which rose 0.55% or 0.24 points to trade at 44.18 at the close. Meanwhile, Redeia Corporacion SA (BME:REDE) added 0.23% or 0.04 points to end at 17.08 and Ferrovial (BME:FER) was up 0.16% or 0.06 points to 38.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ArcelorMittal SA (BME:MTS), which fell 3.81% or 0.91 points to trade at 22.99 at the close. Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria SA (BME:BBVA) declined 3.31% or 0.31 points to end at 8.95 and Banco de Sabadell SA (BME:SABE) was down 2.89% or 0.05 points to 1.78.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 143 to 51 and 20 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.32% or 8.56 to $2,651.16 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.16% or 0.11 to hit $68.83 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 0.17% or 0.12 to trade at $72.36 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.20% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.02% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.23% at 107.02.
