Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Food, Energy and Chemicals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 added 0.44%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Text SA (WA:TXTP), which rose 5.18% or 2.80 points to trade at 56.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Benefit Systems SA (WA:BFT) added 3.60% or 95.00 points to end at 2,735.00 and CD PROJEKT SA (WA:CDR) was up 2.92% or 4.70 points to 165.55 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were mBank SA (WA:MBK), which fell 1.96% or 11.00 points to trade at 549.40 at the close. Dino Polska SA (WA:DNP) declined 1.26% or 5.00 points to end at 391.30 and BUDIMEX SA (WA:BDXP) was down 1.20% or 5.80 points to 478.80.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 273 to 257 and 94 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 2.36% or 1.68 to $69.56 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 2.25% or 1.68 to hit $72.95 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 2.72% or 74.45 to trade at $2,662.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.14% to 4.32, while USD/PLN fell 0.78% to 4.12.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.52% at 106.95.
