Investing.com – Denmark stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Chemicals, Healthcare and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 declined 0.41%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS), which rose 4.54% or 4.50 points to trade at 104.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Demant A/S (CSE:DEMANT) added 2.03% or 5.40 points to end at 271.60 and Carlsberg A/S B (CSE:CARLb) was up 1.90% or 14.00 points to 751.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were AP Moeller – Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb), which fell 3.04% or 365.00 points to trade at 11,640.00 at the close. AP Moeller – Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa) declined 2.69% or 310.00 points to end at 11,230.00 and DSV Panalpina A/S (CSE:DSV) was down 1.36% or 20.50 points to 1,483.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 66 to 60 and 25 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 2.64% or 1.88 to $69.36 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 2.55% or 1.90 to hit $72.73 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 2.73% or 74.80 to trade at $2,662.40 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.62% to 7.11, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.01% to 7.46.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.54% at 106.93.
