Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Building & Construction, Consumer Services and Financial Services & Real Estate sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 added 0.79%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Ferrovial (BME:FER), which rose 3.54% or 1.32 points to trade at 38.62 at the close. Meanwhile, Fluidra (BME:FLUI) added 3.48% or 0.84 points to end at 24.96 and International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (BME:ICAG) was up 2.91% or 0.09 points to 3.04 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Caixabank SA (BME:CABK), which fell 2.45% or 0.13 points to trade at 5.10 at the close. Amadeus IT (BME:AMA) declined 1.16% or 0.78 points to end at 66.30 and ArcelorMittal SA (BME:MTS) was down 0.29% or 0.07 points to 23.90.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 105 to 82 and 26 ended unchanged.
Shares in International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (BME:ICAG) rose to 3-years highs; rising 2.91% or 0.09 to 3.04.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 2.90% or 79.50 to $2,657.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 2.64% or 1.88 to hit $69.36 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 2.40% or 1.79 to trade at $72.84 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.58% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.29% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.46% at 107.01.
