Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Energy & Utilities, Agriculture & Food and Transport sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share lost 0.23%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Al Baha Investment and Development Company SJSC (TADAWUL:4130), which rose 10.00% or 0.03 points to trade at 0.33 at the close. Meanwhile, Saudi RE Cooperative Reinsurance (TADAWUL:8200) added 7.05% or 2.85 points to end at 43.30 and Saudi Chemical Company (TADAWUL:2230) was up 5.46% or 0.53 points to 10.24 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Saudi Cable Company (TADAWUL:2110), which fell 4.02% or 4.10 points to trade at 97.90 at the close. CHUBB Arabia Cooperative Insurance (TADAWUL:8240) declined 3.13% or 1.60 points to end at 49.50 and Al Sorayai Trading&Industrial Group (TADAWUL:1213) was down 2.64% or 2.50 points to 92.30.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 161 to 154 and 21 ended unchanged.
Shares in Saudi RE Cooperative Reinsurance (TADAWUL:8200) rose to all time highs; gaining 7.05% or 2.85 to 43.30.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 2.21% or 1.52 to $70.27 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 2.05% or 1.49 to hit $74.30 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.61% or 16.05 to trade at $2,667.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was unchanged 0.06% to 3.95, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.01% to 3.75.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 106.57.
