Market Update: Portugal Stocks Decline

Investing.com – Portugal stocks fell after the close on Tuesday, primarily due to losses in the Financials, Consumer Services, and Utilities sectors, leading to a decline in shares.

At the close in Lisbon, the PSI index decreased by 0.84%.

Best Performers

The top gainers on the PSI included:
CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI:CTT): up 1.15% or 0.05 points, trading at 4.41.
Altri SGPS SA (ELI:ALSS): increased by 0.95% or 0.05 points, ending at 5.30.
Ibersol SGPS (ELI:IBS): rose 0.82% or 0.06 points, closing at 7.38.

Worst Performers

The hardest-hit stocks were:
Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA): down 2.24% or 0.06 points, trading at 2.53.
EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR): fell 2.18% or 0.24 points, closing at 10.79.
Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP): decreased by 1.74% or 0.01 points, ending at 0.44.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange 16 to 11, with 3 stocks remaining unchanged.
