Turkey Stock Market Overview
Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Transport, Banking, and Metal Products & Machinery sectors led to a decline in shares.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined by 1.73%.
Best Performers
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 included:
– Akfen Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:AKFGY): rose 3.29% or 0.07 points to trade at 2.20.
– Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA): added 2.93% or 1.90 points to end at 66.80.
– Hektas Ticaret TAS (IS:HEKTS): up 2.63% or 0.09 points to 3.51.
Worst Performers
The worst performers were:
– Ford Otomotiv Sanayi AS (IS:FROTO): fell 4.46% or 49.00 points to trade at 1,050.00.
– Vestel Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:VESTL): declined 4.39% or 2.70 points to end at 58.75.
– Mavi Giyim Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:MAVI): down 4.01% or 3.10 points to 74.15.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 401 to 165, with 14 ending unchanged.
Commodities
- Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.51% or 13.30 to $2,627.90 a troy ounce.
- Crude oil for January delivery rose 0.04% or 0.03 to hit $69.20 a barrel.
- Brent oil contract for January increased 0.01% or 0.01 to trade at $73.31 a barrel.
Currency Exchange
- USD/TRY was up 0.06% to 34.54.
- EUR/TRY fell 0.10% to 36.60.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 106.19.
