Portugal Stock Market Update

Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Utilities, Consumer Goods and Industrials sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Lisbon, the PSI lost 0.23%.

Best Performers

The best performers of the session on the PSI were:
– Altri SGPS SA (ELI:ALSS): rose 2.04% or 0.11 points to trade at 5.25 at the close.
– The Navigator Company SA (ELI:NVGR): added 1.32% or 0.05 points to end at 3.70.
– Ren Redes Energeticas Nacionais SGPS SA (ELI:RENE): was up 0.84% or 0.02 points to 2.40 in late trade.

Worst Performers

The worst performers of the session were:
– EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR): fell 2.99% or 0.34 points to trade at 11.03 at the close.
– Ibersol SGPS (ELI:IBS): declined 2.40% or 0.18 points to end at 7.32.
– EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:EDP): was down 1.66% or 0.06 points to 3.44.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 14 to 13 and 3 ended unchanged.

Commodities

Brent oil for January delivery was up 2.73% or 1.94 to $72.98 a barrel. In commodities trading:
– Crude oil for January rose 2.82% or 1.89 to hit $68.81 a barrel.
– December Gold Futures rose 1.69% or 43.45 to trade at $2,613.55 a troy ounce.

Currency Exchange Rates

• EUR/USD: unchanged at 1.06 (up 0.45%).
• EUR/GBP: unchanged at 0.84 (up 0.25%).

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.35% at 106.24.
