Italy Stocks Close Lower
Italy stocks were lower after the close on Friday, with losses in the Technology, Industrials, and Chemicals sectors leading shares down.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 0.50%.
Best Performers
- Assicurazioni Generali SpA (BIT:GASI): rose 4.84% or 1.25 points to trade at 27.06.
- Mediobanca Banca di Credito Finanziario SpA (BIT:MDBI): added 2.46% or 0.35 points to end at 14.80.
- DiaSorin SpA (BIT:DIAS): up 2.05% or 2.15 points to 107.10 in late trade.
Worst Performers
- STMicroelectronics (BIT:STMMI): fell 3.88% or 0.98 points to trade at 24.17.
- Prysmian SpA (BIT:PRY): declined 3.30% or 2.08 points to end at 60.92.
- Davide Campari Milano SpA (BIT:CPRI): down 2.74% or 0.16 points to 5.75.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 327 to 193 with 44 ending unchanged.
Shares in Assicurazioni Generali SpA (BIT:GASI) rose to 5-year highs (+4.84%), while Davide Campari Milano SpA (BIT:CPRI) fell to 3-year lows (-2.74%).

- Brent oil for January: fell 1.58% or 1.15 to $71.41 a barrel.
