Lenovo Group Ltd Reports Strong Second Quarter

BEIJING (Reuters) – Lenovo Group Ltd (HK:0992) reported a 22% rise in revenue in its fiscal second quarter compared to the same period last year, indicating a recovery in the global personal computer industry.

The Chinese technology company announced revenue of $17.85 billion for the quarter ending September 30, surpassing analysts' expectations of $15.997 billion according to LSEG data.

Net profit for the quarter was $359 million, exceeding analysts' estimates of $331.69 million.
