Turkey Stock Market Update
Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, with gains in the Banking, Financials, and Holdings & Investments sectors leading shares upward.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.80%, reaching a new 1-month high.
Best Performers
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 included:
– Yapi ve Kredi Bankasi AS (IS:YKBNK), up 4.65% (1.22 points) to 27.46.
– Koc Holding AS (IS:KCHOL), gaining 4.39% (7.70 points) to 182.90.
– MLP Saglik Hizmetleri AS (IS:MPARK), rising 3.99% (14.25 points) to 371.75.
Worst Performers
The session’s worst performers were:
– Adel Kalemcilik Ticaret ve Sanayi AS (IS:ADEL), falling 5.08% (2.14 points) to 39.96.
– Kaleseramik Canakkale Kalebodur Seramik Sanayi AS (IS:KLSER), down 2.53% (0.86 points) to 33.10.
– Kocaer Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KCAER), decreasing 2.22% (0.84 points) to 36.96.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange, with 339 declines versus 218 advances; 20 stocks remained unchanged.
Commodities Update
- Gold Futures for December delivery decreased 0.07% (1.90) to $2,604.40 a troy ounce.
- In commodities, Crude oil for December delivery dropped 0.87% (0.59) to $67.53 a barrel.
- The January Brent oil contract fell 0.78% (0.56) to $71.33 a barrel.
Currency Update
- USD/TRY decreased 0.02% to 34.34.
- EUR/TRY fell 0.30% to 36.38.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 106.21.
