Delay in Do Kwon’s Extradition

Former Terraform Lab CEO Do Kwon’s extradition to South Korea faces another setback.

The court has decided to await a decision from the Supreme State Prosecutor’s Office regarding the Request for Protection of Legality, according to local media reports.

This is yet another twist in Kwon’s extradition saga, as he had been arrested in Montenegro in March 2023 for document forgery while trying to board a flight to Dubai.

Originally, the High Court in Montenegro ruled for Kwon’s extradition to the United States in February, linking it to the Terra-Luna stablecoin crash of 2022. However, that ruling was reversed in early March, shifting the focus to extraditing him to South Korea, leading to months of appeals, delays, and inconsistent rulings.
