Netherlands Stock Market Update
Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Real Estate, Technology and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX lost 0.83%.
Best Performers
The best performers of the session on the AEX were:
– Aegon Ltd (AS:AEGN): rose 4.80% or 0.28 points to trade at 6.16 at the close.
– Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV (AS:AD): added 3.63% or 1.12 points to end at 31.95.
– Akzo Nobel NV (AS:AKZO): was up 1.55% or 0.90 points to 58.98 in late trade.
Worst Performers
The worst performers of the session were:
– ASM International NV (AS:ASMI): fell 3.03% or 15.60 points to trade at 498.80 at the close.
– ING Groep NV (AS:INGA): declined 2.84% or 0.44 points to end at 15.18.
– Heineken (AS:HEIN): was down 2.49% or 1.84 points to 72.20.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 61 to 35, with 8 ending unchanged.
Shares in Koninklijke Ahold Delhaize NV (AS:AD) rose to 52-week highs, up 3.63% or 1.12 to 31.95. However, shares in Heineken (AS:HEIN) fell to 3-year lows, losing 2.49% or 1.84 to 72.20.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged at 21.09.
Commodity Prices
- Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.06% or 0.04 to $72.03 a barrel.
- Brent oil for January fell 0.23% or 0.17 to hit $75.36 a barrel.
- The December Gold Futures contract fell 2.68% or 73.60 to trade at $2,676.10 a troy ounce.
Currency Exchange Rates
- EUR/USD was down 1.81% to 1.07.
- EUR/GBP fell 0.66% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 1.66% at 105.04.
