Greece Stock Market Update
Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Monday, with gains in the Construction, Travel, and Technology sectors leading shares up.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite gained 0.01%.
Best Performers
The top performers on the Athens General Composite were:
– Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr): rose 1.93% or 0.07 points to trade at 3.60.
– Elton S.A. (AT:ELNr): added 1.74% or 0.03 points to end at 1.75.
– Piraeus Port (AT:OLPr): up 1.39% or 0.40 points to 29.20 in late trade.
Worst Performers
The worst performers were:
– Quality and Reliability SA (AT:QUAr): fell 3.30% or 0.04 points to 1.06.
– Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr): declined 3.08% or 0.01 points to 0.28.
– Lavipharm SA (AT:LPHr): down 2.94% or 0.02 points to 0.73.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 65 to 51, with 19 remaining unchanged.
Shares in Piraeus Port (AT:OLPr) rose to 5-year highs, up 1.39% or 0.40 to 29.20.
Commodities Update
- Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.02% or 0.60 to $2,749.80 a troy ounce.
- Crude oil for December rose 1.81% or 1.26 to hit $70.75 a barrel.
- The January Brent oil contract rose 1.71% or 1.25 to trade at $74.35 a barrel.

- EUR/USD was up 0.58% to 1.09.
- EUR/GBP was unchanged, up 0.08% to 0.84.
- The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.55% at 103.64.
