Brazil Stock Market Update

Investing.com – Brazil stocks were lower after the close on Friday, with losses in the Public Utilities, Real Estate, and Electric Power sectors.

At the close in São Paulo, the Bovespa index fell by 1.23%, reaching a new 1-month low.

Best Performers

The top performers of the session included:
Ez Tec SA (BVMF:EZTC3), up 6.51% or 0.91 points to close at 14.88.
Sao Martinho SA (BVMF:SMTO3), adding 5.21% or 1.32 points to end at 26.64.
Totvs SA (BVMF:TOTS3), which saw a rise of 3.72% or 1.11 points, closing at 30.95.

Worst Performers

Conversely, the worst performers were:
Grupo Vamos SA (BVMF:VAMO3), down 8.27% or 0.52 points to 5.77.
Azul SA Pref (BVMF:AZUL4), which fell 6.51% or 0.37 points to 5.31.
Magazine Luiza SA (BVMF:MGLU3), decreased by 6.34% or 0.60 points to 8.86.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 545 to 446, with 29 remaining unchanged.

Other Market Indicators

The CBOE Brazil ETF Volatility, a measure of implied volatility for Bovespa options, rose by 3.19% to 33.67.

In commodities:
Gold Futures for December dropped by 0.18% or 4.95 to $2,744.35 per troy ounce.
Crude oil for December climbed 0.30% or 0.21 to $69.47 per barrel.
– The December US coffee C contract fell 1.33% or 3.27 to $242.63.

Currency exchange rates saw the USD/BRL rise by 1.42% to 5.87, and EUR/BRL increased by 0.93% to 6.36.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.36% at 104.25.
