Netherlands Stocks Drop
Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Real Estate, and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX fell 0.80% to hit a new 1-month low.
Best Performers
The best performers of the session on the AEX were:
– Shell PLC (AS:SHEL): Rose 2.29% or 0.69 points to trade at 30.82 at the close.
– ING Groep NV (AS:INGA): Added 0.77% or 0.12 points to end at 15.67.
– ABN AMRO Group NV (AS:ABNd): Up 0.43% or 0.07 points to 15.19 in late trade.
Worst Performers
The worst performers of the session were:
– ASM International NV (AS:ASMI): Fell 5.95% or 32.40 points to trade at 512.20 at the close.
– BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:BESI): Declined 3.93% or 4.01 points to end at 97.94.
– DSM Firmenich AG (AS:DSFIR): Down 2.85% or 3.20 points to 109.10.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 80 to 18, with 12 ending unchanged.
Shares in BE Semiconductor Industries NV (AS:BESI) fell to 52-week lows, declining 3.93% or 4.01 to 97.94.
Volatility
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged at 0.00% to 21.09.
Commodities
Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.70% or 0.48 to $69.09 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading:
– Brent oil for January: Rose 0.61% or 0.44 to hit $72.60 a barrel.
– December Gold Futures: Fell 1.74% or 48.70 to trade at $2,752.10 a troy ounce.
Currency Markets
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.04% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP rose 0.79% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 104.02.
