Softbank's Focus on Artificial Super Intelligence
Investing.com — Softbank (OTC:SFTBY) CEO Masayoshi Son stated on Tuesday that his primary focus is on achieving artificial super intelligence (ASI), predicting it will require hundreds of billions of dollars of investment.
Son believes ASI, which he defines as being 10,000 times smarter than a human brain, will become a reality by 2035. To facilitate this, he is saving tens of billions of dollars for upcoming investments in the field.
Despite NVIDIA's (NASDAQ:NVDA) stock rising 184% this year, Son regards it as undervalued, considering the substantial resources needed to develop artificial super intelligence, an initiative in which Softbank intends to participate.
