Solana Wallet Phantom Experiences Downtime

Solana’s biggest wallet, Phantom, is currently experiencing downtime as noted in a status update. The incident has persisted for about an hour, with some users reporting inaccuracies in their account balances.

As of the latest update, the Phantom status page indicates a “major issue,” and the team is actively working on resolving the “ongoing incident.” Despite this, the browser extension and mobile app remain operational, reassuring users with the message, “Your funds are safe.”

This outage coincides with users of the Solana-based decentralized app Grass claiming tokens from a recent airdrop that will distribute 10% of the total GRASS token supply.

Phantom addressed the issue on X, stating, “We’re currently experiencing an uptime incident, and some services may be temporarily disrupted. If you urgently need to make a transaction, please ignore simulation errors and try using a dapp. Thanks for your patience as we work to resolve the issue.”

This isn’t the first downtime for Phantom this year; on February 3, it experienced delays in updating token balances. On August 15, there was another temporary issue which prevented users from properly viewing their account balances. In both cases, the issues were swiftly resolved. Phantom has not yet commented on the current situation.
